Happy Friday! The video I chose today featured a nice and simple vinyasa flow, and while doing it, it actually clicked. The “one breath one movement” wasn’t stilted or paused, it felt truly like a fluid melding of the two. A lot of times, I would take a breath in or out because I was instructed to and I would wait in the pose until the next instruction to continue. Today, though, the flow was simple and felt great and the breath pattern connected with me that I just went on my own. I was only ever a beat or two off, and I just stayed in tune with my natural breathing cadence rather than the direction.
30 Day Yoga Challenge: Day Seventeen
The flow itself esPECIALLY worked because it had warrior two AND eagle arms/legs, my favorites. I even CAUTIOUSLY tried the inverted headstand, but luckily the couch was behind me so I could rest my legs there instead of on the ground behind my head. Pigeon was great, as always.
Other Notes:
- Let it be known that that giant box of Cheez-Its from Costco was used as my yoga block because, well, I don’t have one.
- Let it also be known that I had to scroll through about 20 videos in my YouTube history to get back to this yoga one because I went on a massive Queer Eye video binge afterwards.
- I would do this video every day!! I absolutely loved this one.
Namaste and see you tomorrow!
